The only true-rolling green on the market with authentic grain and stimp speeds. BirdieBall uses a patented aerated foam technology that simulates a natural grass putting green. BirdieBall putting mats were created for the discerning golfer who understands the importance of an authentic roll, grain, and speed.
Named the Best Indoor Putting Green by My Golf Spy, BirdieBall’s Patented Tech has revolutionized at-home putting practice. Rolled perfectly flat with drop-in cups, you will finally be able to start shaving strokes off your short game. BirdieBall mats are portable and lightweight, and can be rolled up for storage. They will continue to lay flat, for a perfect roll, every time. Does your current practice green just look the part? Don’t waste your time and money practicing on a surface that does not produce a true roll. Discover the BirdieBall difference today.
Variable Stimp Speeds
Authentic Dual Grain (putt with or against the grain)
Spongy feel mimics a real putting green — watch your footprint appear and disappear just like on a natural green
Realistic Drop-in cups & Extraction Flags (without a contrived ramp)
Find a size and configuration that fits your needs
Easy roll-up storage
Will continue to lay flat after storage
Easily create breaks and contours
Change your Stimp Speed at Home — the speed of the green can be manipulated using a stiff brush to either slow down or speed up your green. Brush against the grain to slow down your surface, or brush with the grain to speed up your surface.
Our Classic Indoor Putting Greens are half an inch thick, lightweight, and easily rolled away. This state-of-the-art putting surface features two stimp speeds so you can practice putting both into the grain and against the grain on the same surface. The only true-rolling putting mat on the market.
Bi-Directional Indoor Putting Mat (half an inch deep) (choose size and stimp speed)
Six Holes (3A + 3B: outside holes one foot from each end and center hole 18 inches from each end)
Six Standard Cups + one High-Back Cup (to practice extra firm putts)
Six Extraction Flags (15 inches tall)
Six Heavy Rubber Bumpers (three for each end of the green to create a U-Shape)
One Hole Reducer Insert (reduces the size of the hole to two-and-a-half-inch diameter)

The difference is in the patented putting surface. BirdieBall's proprietary foam technology sets our greens apart and makes them roll true.
Competitor greens that claim a true roll are simply not marketing themselves truthfully. It is impossible to have a true roll on a surface that is made on a loom (turf, carpet, etc.). The inherent pattern present in any turf or carpet product (made during the manufacturing process) will have a pattern based on the weave of the material. Your ball will then follow the pattern of that turf or carpet weave. Therefore, it is impossible to produce a true roll on those types of putting greens. Our foam golf putting mat technology is the only putting mat technology in the world that produces a smooth, flat, pattern-free surface for your ball to roll on.
BirdieBall putting greens are the only putting solution to produce the true roll that is necessary for meaningful putting practice. The putting surface shouldn't manipulate the roll of the ball. On competitor greens, you'll notice a "wobble" of the ball as it rolls down the green. This is a telltale sign the ball is following the pattern of the weave and not rolling true. BirdieBall greens are not a woven product and are, therefore, the only surface that is going to offer a pure look at your putting stroke every time.
PATENTED PUTTING SURFACE
Our greens are engineered with a grain. Angled nubs of artificial grass allow you to practice putting both into the grain and down grain on the same putting surface.
BIRDIE BALL GREEN VS. NATURAL GREEN
We use an aerated polymer to simulate a natural putting surface. The spongy base mimics the spongy root system of a natural green, while the grain fibrils simulate real grass and grain direction.
On a natural putting green, the ball rolls on the spongy sub-base that is rolled flat. The speed of the ball is controlled by the nubs of grass. This is exactly how the ball rolls on a BirdieBall putting green. A true-rolling putting green is simply not possible on any other competitor's surface. In order to have a true roll, the dead flat, spongy sub-base is critical.
Both natural putting greens and BirdieBall putting greens are rolled flat.
DROP-IN CUPS AND EXTRACTION FLAGS
Thoughtfully designed so that the flag extracts the balls out of the hole for convenience. This provides the best drop-in feel on the market.
Putting Mat Dimensions
Choice of: 4' x 10' | 4' x 12' | 4' x 14'| 4' x 16' | 4' x 18'
All BirdieBall Putting Greens are measured in nominal inches. In order to get the green packed in a box for shipping, along with the hand crafted nature of our greens, the measurements can vary slightly.
4' wide greens will be in the following range: 46" - 48" wide
Simply unroll the putting surface, install the cups/flags, snap on your bumpers, and you're ready to start putting. Total assembly time is 5-10 minutes.
In general, it’s a good idea to treat your indoor putting green with the same care as a natural green on the golf course. Imagine things you would not do on a natural putting surface: walk in someone’s line, take a chip shot, walk in high heels, etc. These are the same sorts of things that will damage your indoor putting surface. The same things that will take a divot out of a natural green will damage your BirdieBall Indoor putting mat.
When treated with care, your BirdieBall mat will last for years!
The best way to keep your green clean is to brush it with a stiff broom to remove any loose debris. To remove dirt, spot clean with mild soap and water. Do not vacuum the green. The rotating drum on many vacuums can tear up the surface.
